Light shone through the curtains, illuminating the soft creases of his dark bedroom. The gentle humming of the fan above you mixed with the sound of the running shower was all that could be heard as you stretch out on the bed, waking up from a long sleep.
Sitting up on the mattress, the covers laying around your hips as you reach your hands up, rubbing away the sleep, you heard gentle cooing from beside you and you turn your head.
A soft smile forms across your face as your eyes fall on your newborn laying peacefully in their bassinet. Little hands tucked away in white mittens as they sucked softly on the pacifier.
“Good morning..” you whisper, hands pulling away the covers from your legs as you swing them over the side of the bed before leaning forward.
You bring your hand to rest on your newborns’ stomach, rubbing gently as their eyes drift away from the wall and over toward you. “Did you sleep good?” you coo gently, fingers brushing against their cheek.
The sound of the water cut off and you turn your head toward the bathroom door just in time to hear the knob jiggle before the door swung open and out walked Drew, a towel wrapped securely around his hips. Drops of water littering his tanned skin, accentuating his toned form as he stepped out of the bathroom.
His eyes fall on you and a soft smile forms on his face as he makes his way over to greet you, “Morning beautiful,” he says as he reaches you.
You feel as his hand comes to your shoulder, rubbing it gently as he bends down to press a sweet kiss to your temple while his gaze drifts over to your hand that laid on your newborns’ small body.
“Sleep good?” he mumbled into your hair as he brings his hand from your shoulder to rub his knuckles across the soft skin of your babies’ cheek.
Mornings like this were your favorite, He's home after a few weeks away from filming. Although he's tired, he's trying to give as much attention as possible.
