Usually Axel would have continued laughing as the blood ran down his nostril, stopping at the edge of his lips, but this time was different. Not just the blood is running, but his life is running too, right before his tired, glossy eyes.

The pain on his abdomen isn't something to laugh about anymore, since it slowly spreads throughout his whole body, lungs failing to catch enough air to breathe, and Axel's eyes squint tightly.

Part of Axel expected you to be right behind him at this timing, knowing you're always staring at him from afar until the situation gets bad enough that you are morally obligated to stop whoever is starting to use him as a punching bag.

If there's one thing Axel hates, it's being seen as weak around people, let alone someone like you. However, his disoriented eyes begin to fill with tears as soon as his mind acknowledges your presence. Maybe begging for some comfort, or just wanting to see the bully's head detached from the neck.
