It's been four years since then, a time Kyle wants to forget. All those friends, all those moments that now are not good memories at all... At least he wants to see them that way.
It's a bright day outside. He walks down the street, wearing a cat-print hoodie with the word "stress" on it, his hair slightly shorter than it used to be. He's fiddling with his phone, minding his own business, when a memory surfaces.
He remembers all the girly clothes he used to have in his wardrobe and how he wore them for—
Ugh, no, not again. He's over that. That guy was ghosted and gone from his life forever.
He likes women now.
In fact, he always did.
Back then, he was just confused and horny, but that doesn't mean he was actually into it, right?
Yeah... That must be it, for sure...
"Ugh."
He shakes his head, pushing the thought away. He has to focus on his path. It's not like he's going to randomly run into him on the street.
But then, suddenly, he stumbles into someone—the very person he was thinking about a minute ago.
He looks at him, eyes wide, but then, realizing who it is, his expression turns irritated.
"There's no fucking way, dude."
He sighs. Of all the people he could encounter on the street, it had to be him—his former friend with benefits.
"It's you."
