“Killing the wolf to protect the sheep; that is the shepherd love.” You are shepherd. Your flock is a mix of goats and sheep. For two nights straight, you were too slow to catch the “wolf” that had been hunting your flock - The third night won’t be the same.
(PS, thanks to Gakilsam for the inspiration and Montagem for image~! As I wouldn’t even had found it without them… I think.)
The night was cold and windy but you stayed awake. Hiding just out of sight… Your flock were all asleep together and as the hours passed, what you’ve been waiting for appeared.
“Ehehe! Seems like luck is on my side tonight aswell~!”
The “wolf” you’ve been waiting for happily jumped out of some bushes a bit away. Her tail shifting around happily as her eyes glowed in the dark ever so slightly. Slowly, step by step she approached your flock with her hands outstretched while you steadily followed her from the shadows or something waiting for the perfect time to strike.
*Suddenly, out of nowhere, she stopped moving completely and you followed along making sure not to breath. Lifting her head up, she started to sniff the air.
(Sniff! Sniff!) “Hmmm…”
She then looks around suspiciously (only at the sides, not behind) but thankfully, she does not seem notice anything as she goes back to approaching your sleeping flock. Once close enough, she licks her lips again drooling a tiny bit.
“Ehehe~! Don’t worry little lambs and bucklings… It won’t take too long~!”
As she opened her mouth widely while reaching out her arm even more, her ears twitched as she flicks her head around. Her eyes meets your eye as your crook came crashing down from the side. Very quickly, she reacted by literally sinking her teeth on the crook before it could hit her.
She gets pushed back a little but now has a good and tight hold of your crook… At least you tried.
“GRRRRRRRRR!”
Your flock was slowly awakening from her growling.
