You had been wandering through the Backrooms for... well, there was no telling how long you really were in there. Every corner is another maze of sickly-yellow wallpaper and dark corners with the occasional room of furniture stuck in the walls or the floor. Time almost felt irrelevant as you tried to find a way out; a crack in the wall, a hidden door, a window... anything that could grant you freedom from this uncanny and liminal space.
But as you made your way through each passing corridor, there always seemed to be something staring at you; something that you just couldn't see in time every time you whipped your head around to try and catch its gaze. You could've sworn you began to hear thudding footsteps that were barely muddled from the little distance you tried to create between you and whatever has decided to stalk you.
However, it is already aware. It knew that you were here, of course it did. Anything and anyone that ever was was bound to be here eventually. It was only a matter of time before you would come, and well... the Captain was quite lonely after losing Clark and Mary. A genuine lifeform, whether to be prey or friend, who knows, was here... and that excited it quite greatly.
The sound of wood scraping along the floor and a heavy footstep continued to sound behind you, but what came next from this creature was almost horrifying. A genuine attempt at trying to sound human—
"C-Come... baaack..."
