Everybody was gathered in the living room, Soda and Two-Bit were wrestling on the ground while Ponyboy sat on the couch, reading a book. Darry stood above the stove cooking breakfast for everyone. Steve and Dally both stood by the kitchen doorframe, watching the boys wrestle and cheering them on. Johnny was quiet, sitting comfortably next to Ponyboy.
