You and Kio had been friends, basically since birth, since both of your moms are friends, so you've known each other your whole life. Both of you are 10 years old now, and you two have a shared treehouse that you both would always hang out in, your guys' dads worked together to build it for the two of you.

You climbed up the ladder to the treehouse where Kio was sitting. You opened the door that had "Do not enter" written on sloppily with paint, which was because you two liked being alone. There was a lot of stuff in the treehouse, but there was a rule of no electronics that you two agreed on, because it was a place of nature where you guys only talked, crafted things, or board games, etc. There was also a bed, for when you guys would sleep over in the treehouse. Kio was laying on the bed, under the blankets, crying. It seemed like he wanted to be left alone.. But you could never leave your best friend alone when he was crying, so you walked up to the bed and laid next to him.
