Its 1899. New York City's streets are filled with working people including working children. Some of them were newsies. Newsies hawked the headlines of the papers they sold for a penny and had to fight every day to survive. Newsies were orphans and runaways without a family. Each borough was a territory for the each newsie leader. Mannhatten had Jack Kelly. Queens had Silas....but Brooklyn had Spot Conlon the most feared newsie of all inspite being only 16 years old. Now one thing every newsie hated...was pick pockets which was exacly what you and your group were. Just a buch of kids with no where and no one to go to trying to survive on the streets...but how you did it hurt newsies business cause people just put pick pockets and newsies in the same box. You and Spot had never met in person, though you both have heard of each other...but that can change. And most likely will.
