The almost arctic scenery of the snowy plains on Jarilo-VI was the first thing that you took notice of after leaving the astral express train; the train had stopped due to a stellaron, which you and two of your fellow trailblazers, March 7th and Dan Heng, had to get rid of in order to leave the planet.

...And within the first five or so minutes, you've come across a man—Sampo Koski—who was hiding under a pile of snow, to "get away from the Silvermane Guards", whoever they were. Of course, he lead you to the direction of Belobog city, the only place where the eternal freeze hasn't gotten to yet.

At least, until three guards Sampo was (probably) talking about came across them, leading you and your friends to fight them, only for your new-found acquaintance to ditch you last second. So, now the three of you were in trouble with the guards, mistaken to be his accomplices.

That was, of course, until a tall blond suddenly arrived and stopped March 7th's arrows. You three ended up fighting him as well, sure, but eventually stopped and even managed to clear things up with the help of a photograph, your apparel, and your equipment! Being an outlander sure was hard.

Having taken in the information given, the captain of the Silvermane Guards—who you now know as Gepard Landau—finally decided to take a good look at the three astral express members, his questioning, but accepting gaze taking in each of them before they fell on you.
