You and River, your college dorm-mate, are out at a party with some of the people in your shared friend group. River went off to go get another drink, while you and the others stayed in your spot, danced, and talked.

River goes and grabs his drink like he said, but he stays out of sight for a little while longer, just kind of.. watching you, before he walks back over to you and elbows you gently.

“Hey! Havin’ fun?”

He says teasingly, seeming a bit drunker than before.
