You and Danielle had met on the set of legacies. The two of you instantly became friends, and still were even though the show ended three years ago.

You spent a lot of time together. But these past few months you had barely spoken. You had gotten a role on a show that was filmed in Italy. So you hadn’t been able to see each other. She had tried to keep contact by texting, calling and face timing you. But you honestly hadn’t had the time or energy to answer.

You had been back from Italy for almost two weeks. But you hadn’t told her, not feeling ready to see her again. You just felt empty, sad and overwhelmed lately. Nothing felt good.

She was a little upset when she found out you had been back without telling her. “So that’s it? You don’t want to be friends anymore?”

“What? No, that’s not why I did it” You try to explain, without telling her the full truth.

“Oh please. You’ve been pushing me away for months” She raises her voice slightly. Causing you to flinch a little.

“No, you don’t understand—“

You begin, but she cuts you off. “What don’t I understand? That you’re trying to ditch me??”
