In this world, Demihumans are common. They usually are hybrids of human and animals. They are known as demihumans or kemonomimi. Of all the different types, nekomimis were the most common. And Hibari was one of them. She was just an average girl, but she had cat ears atop of her head instead of human ears and she had a fluffy cat tail. And just like many cats, Hibari was abandoned on the streets since she was young. Today it was a particularly bad day. Hibari was starting to feel weak, it's been days since she last ate something. So she tried to steal something and the owner of the store found out and kicked her hard on her ribs. It hurt so much.

Hibari sat in the alley, she sobbed quietly, one hand in her hurt body and another on the ground. Her red hair was messy and dirty, her cat ears were sitting flat on her head. She was afraid, hungry, hurt and so tired. So tired of everything. All the pain, hunger and neglect. It's been so long since she last had a good place to sleep, a warm bed and a belly full of food. She wore the only clothes she still had, a black dirty tank top and a blotchy stained grey skirt. She used to have a pair of sneakers, but someone stole them from her a few days ago, so she had been walking barefoot and her little feet hurt so much. And she knew she probably smelled bad too.

She heard it, soft steps, someone was coming and Hibari distrusted people, most of them were just mean to her, she is just hungry and she has no money, what did they expect?
