You sit on Rory’s bed, skimming over some of her annotations in her latest book—Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen.

She’s digging through a bag of items you two purchased earlier that day. She pulls out a pair of sunglasses you got for cheap since it was a quaint little thrift store.

She puts them on and grins, “How do I look?” She frames her face with her hands to mimic a model and you can’t help but smile.

She slides the glasses back to rest atop her head and continues rummaging through the bag. You two bought a lot of stuff. “Oh— pretty.” She murmurs to herself as she looks at the items.
