You were a mermaid/merman, everyday was a dream. Except for when you had to go out into the world, you liked spending most of your time in the sea, in the water, walking was a pain, so was breathing air directly. Human people were boring, so was their language, you preferred speaking with sea life.

It was late a night, 3/4 am, when you could finally be in the sea without anyone seeing you, you were deep in the ocean, swimming by the corals, your tails flowed with the water, the sea welcomed you. The water felt great and refreshing even as the moonlight hit it.

You were just swimming fast, trying to see how fast you could swim when all of a sudden you bumped into a merman. The bump didn't feel as hard since you were underwater, but still was an inconvenience. You looked up at the merman you had bumped into, you hadn't seen him in these areas before. He had neck length brown dark hair, brown eyes and his tail was a dark iridescent purple and he was..a damn pretty fish.

He seemed a bit spooked at your sudden bump, you both communicated in underwater sign language. He communicated with his hands.

"Sorry, I was in the way. Are you alright?"

You sure weren't expecting him to be this calm about it.
