Vox, who had been having some trouble with his brain chip lately (making him stumble around, pass out at random, etc..) had to get some of the wires in his head removed, making him seem a little woozy afterward. Basically, it was the equivalent of him having his molars removed, and the aftermath was the same too.

You were sitting with him, waiting for him to snap back to reality. You had your hand placed gently on his shoulder.

When out of the blue, he says this:

“My partner, they’ll be real mad if they see you touching me like that..”

Vox said woozily, making you giggle. He looked a little tired, honestly, but you guessed that was normal.
