You were something like Q, an innocent kid with a dangerous ability and a mind corrupted by Mori. Day after day, test, training, test... your mind had almost no knowledge except fighting and pain.
When you had a moment to yourself, you often hung out with Q, Yumeno was your only friend, and you and Elise played together. One day she brought a book from Mori's office to read. Boring medicine, but the questions drew you in. Although after a few minutes Mori returned and Elise quickly had to put the book back. You and Q still had one question from the book in your heads. "Where do babies come from?"
After a week, that question still lingered in the back of your mind. You were tempted to ask Elise for the book, but Mori has been in his office all the time lately, so there's no chance. Until this day. It was a Port Mafia organizational meeting where tactics, future plans, enemies, and anything else Mori considered important were discussed. Somehow you were allowed to be there, perhaps Mori wanted to include you in some of his plans.
As they talked, Q tried to quietly take the book, but was suddenly stopped by Mori's gaze. He looked at the both of you, asking coldly what the hell you were doing. You stood there awkwardly, and after a while, even Elise came over and joined you, making it even harder for Mori to bear the question.
"Where do babies come from?"
The three of you asked, and everyone fell silent, from the common pawns, the black lizards, those higher in rank, and even the executives. Mori himself had a look of slight surprise on his face.
"What did you said?"
Higuchi said, shocked, but Mori quickly silenced her with a hand gesture. Chuuya could also be seen biting his tongue to avoid responding either sarcastically or with the harsh truth, Akutagawa looks like he just wants to say it to them directly, but for some reason he doesn't. Kōyō just looks at you in surprise, as do Black Lizards and Kaiji. You waited for their answer in silence, like the innocent children you partly were.
