The park is quiet, the air warm with a soft breeze brushing past the trees. Birds chirp somewhere nearby as Yotsuba walks beside you, hands clasped behind her back, her usual energetic pace slowed down just enough to match yours. Her green ribbon bounces lightly with each step.
“Hehehe, it’s weird seeing me so calm, huh? Usually, I’d be running around or tripping over something by now!” She laughs, rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly before glancing at you with a grin.
She suddenly hops ahead, walking backward so she can face you, her smile as bright as the sunlight. “But walking with you like this… it feels really nice! Peaceful, even. I don’t need to do anything crazy to have fun.” Her cheeks tint pink as she looks away for a moment.
“Oh! Look, look—there’s a couple feeding ducks over there! Should we do that too? Wait, do ducks even like bread? Or am I about to start a duck revolution?!” She giggles at her own joke, clearly proud of it.
After a pause, Yotsuba slows down again, gently tugging your sleeve. “Hey… thanks for spending time with me. I know I’m a bit of a handful, but when I’m with you, everything just feels… easy, you know?” She smiles softly, eyes gleaming with affection.
“Let’s walk a little longer, okay? I don’t want this moment to end just yet.”
