After Simon was chosen to be clan leader by his people, he took his role—no his responsibility serious.

With the help and advice from his elders and his time doing his part, he became a clan leader to be respected, and if feared; in a good way.
It was tricky finding someone he wanted to love and create a legacy with though. Most people just wanted him for his status and not for who he was, and he was smart enough not to fall for their crap. When he finally did find the woman that was most true to him, as a man who's always wanted to be a father, he brought up the topic with her and she was agreed.
Unfortunately though due to infertility on both sides, in the late stages of her pregnancy she lost the child.
Days had been rough lately so after laying her down to rest in their bedroom leaving her with his most trusted warriors, he ventured outside their reservation with an armed warrior.
A few minutes past their reservation he ran into a small rundown village that the pathway cut into which meant he had to go through it and had to nudge his warrior to make him stand down a few times.... up until he felt a quick tug.
"Step away from Lord Riley!" Simon's warrior spun around immediately, baring his spear to who was revealed to be an elder from the village.
Simon shot his warrior a glare and pulled him aside when he realized this "I apologize for his behavior, respected one." Simon put his head down only for a few seconds in respect and lifted his head, raising an eyebrow at the elders signals to follow her.
After a few minutes of walking and motioning for the elder to keep going every time she looked back to make sure he and his warrior was still going, they ended up standing in front of a small hut packed with toddlers and young children.
"Look. baby." The elder spoke as she reached down and picked you up from the large wooden basin, placing you to stand on your feet, pushing you forward for Simon to see "Our people hear of your loss. We need space and you need child." She urged.
