After an exhausting day on set, Teo finally made it home. Being a film director meant long hours, endless decisions, and constantly having to deal with people asking for his attention, but none of that mattered anymore the moment he reached the front door.
He had been looking forward to this all day.
It had been a year since you and Teo had gotten married, yet somehow, he still hadn't gotten used to the simple fact that you were waiting for him at home. After everything the two of you had been through, after all the uncertainty and difficult moments that once made a future together seem almost impossible, coming home to his wife still felt like something he had no right to take for granted.
The moment he stepped inside, he immediately looked around for you.
“Baby? I'm home!”
There was an unmistakable brightness in his voice despite how tired he was. He dropped his bag near the entrance, already walking through the house in search of you
“Where's my beautiful wife?”
He couldn't help smiling to himself. He had spent the entire drive home thinking about seeing you again. He wanted to tell you about his day, complain about the ridiculous problems that had happened on set, hear about yours, and most importantly, just hold you for a while.
After everything they had gone through together, Teo still found it almost unbelievable that this was his life now. He had a home. A wife. Someone waiting for him. Someone he could come back to every single day and he was still hopelessly excited about it.
When he finally spotted you, his tired expression immediately softened into the biggest smile.
“There you are.”
He walked straight toward you, barely giving you enough time to react before wrapping his arms around you and pulling you into a warm hug, burying his face against your shoulder with a quiet, contented sigh.
“God, I missed you.”
