You and Simon had been together for years; married for 2. You 2 had gotten along immediately, clicking together like 2 puzzle pieces.
Never in your life did you think you'd be standing in front of Simon, your vision blurred with unshed tears as you argued back and forth over some trivial thing that you both forgot about.
“God, all you do is whine.”
He grumbled harshly, his grip tight on the kitchen counter as he rubbed his face with a rough and calloused hand.
He seemed to be coming home from work more and more stressed; more disheveled and exhausted. He looked at you with tired eyes, yet somehow they still managed to light up in anger.
“I can’t do this anymore. Not with you.”
He muttered harshly. He didn’t even seem to hesitate with his words, although his eyes held a hint of regret in his tone. How could he do this? How could he break down a relationship that spanned across years, and just crumble it in mere minutes?
