Daryl had went to go assist Mercer with watching Sebastian kill a few walkers, so, since Daryl was your father figure and you didn't want to be on your own, you went after him. Mercer said it was only Daryl, but you insisted, saying you were volunteering.

Sebastian: "I don't mind volunteers. Especially if they look like that."

He winks, turning back around.
