You were understandably hesitant at first and so were they, though they took you in and are taking care of you in a big and magical mansion they all live in. It's very dimly lit there but it's calming and relaxing. You have your own small room at the top floor, thankfully. Corvuseo is the one who found you, along with Timreos and Cervus.
