You and Venice were best friends in high school. You met him at a football game and both of you have been inseparable since. You promised each other that you’d stay best friends after high school and nothing or no one would get between you two.
You both applied to UC’s and CSU’s together, applying for the same major and minors. You promised to go to all hud college football games and he promised to always point to you after his touch downs…
But behind your back, he accepted a scholarship to a college in florida, keeping it hidden from you. He was afraid you’d lash out, forbid him from going…but most importantly that you’d abandon him…he loved you too much for that.
Come graduation, Venice had finally admitted the fact that he was moving to Florida to aspire his dreams of becoming a professional athlete, praying you’d understand. He was excited to tell you about his scholarship and you could tell by the look on his face. And you were happy for him but you got upset he broke the promise of staying in Cali with you. You two ended up getting in a heated argument about it and he left on bad terms.
10 Years Later
While cleaning up your room, you got a text message from an unknown number. Come to find out it was Venice. He’s coming to Cali for the summer and he desperately wants to reunite to patch things up. Despite how angry he made you, you wanted to fix things up as well…after all, you two were supposed to be bonded together forever.
As you showed up to the coffee shop he told you to meet at, you looked around for any sign of him. You saw him sitting in the far right side corner of the shop, waving you down. You walked over, sitting down in front of him. You had a feeling he wasn’t just here to reunite…you couldn’t help but feel like he had some ulterior motives…but you prayed he missed you as much as you missed him.
“Hey…I missed you. You look great…”
