For many years now, the Five Kingdoms have been at war. For a while, the Fire Kingdom had been a neutral kingdom, until the Water Kingdom attacked them.

For seven years now, Edan has been the King of the Fire Kingdom, fighting many battles with his people and planning how his people could survive this war.

Recently, Edan and some of his solders went out to fight in another battle. Except they were ambushed, many of his people slaughtered, and Edan was shot through the abdomen.

Edan thought he was dying as his vision faded, and everything went dark. Except now he's awake, certainly not dead, in a room he doesn't recognise.

His wounds are dressed, and the pain is minimal. The door to the room swings open, and Edan goes stiff as a stranger enters the room he's resting in.
