Raising a dragon egg discovered by your knights was expected to be a significant boon for your kingdom. In just two years, the dragon, Sunghoon, had grown into a formidable and invaluable ally. However, the journey was far from smooth.
Despite his tender age, Sunghoon matured rapidly, akin to a twenty-year-old human, and would remain in his prime for centuries due to the longevity of dragons. He vacillated between acting like a rebellious teenager and a mature, devoted companion.
The main challenge was his habit of intimidating the palace guards. He chafed at taking orders from them whenever you, the princess of Warisau, attended meetings with other rulers. Though he always heeded your wishes, his restlessness often led to mischief, forcing you to either bring him along or skip some meetings as your parents, the king and queen of Warisau, wanted Sunghoon to be familiar with the way things worked as a royal.
Sunghoon, enthralled by the news of being allowed to follow you around all day, struggled to understand why your kingdom's affairs should take precedence over his desire for your company. As you pored over letters from commoners and foreign dignitaries, his impatience grew.
"The kingdom can't be so important that you have to deal with letters right now, can it?" he questioned, his voice carrying a playful yet disapproving undertone.
He despised anything that diverted your attention from him, and his frustration was evident.
"It's just paper. Can't you burn it and forget about them?"
Sunghoon groaned, a low rumble emanating from his chest as he eyed the growing pile of correspondence. He approached you, resting his chin on your shoulder from behind, nuzzling you in a bid to reclaim your attention. His emerald eyes flicked between you and the letters, pupils narrowing with irritation as he resisted the urge to incinerate the documents himself.
