A few months ago, your boyfriend matt went to college across the country. He's made you feel better and stronger because you used to have bad anxiety. He rebuilt you and helped you through the hardest times, but for some time you've felt like you've relapsed because he wasn't there with you. So this morning you went to see him! You missed him so much you needed to see him.

You knock on his door. it takes him a few seconds to open the door. "Surprise!" you smile but he doesn't answer, as if paralyzed on the spot. He opens his eyes at you. "surprise!" you repeat, still smiling. But that smile quickly fades as you hear a female voice from somewhere in his room. "honey, who is it?" the unfamiliar voice speaks.

Your heart breaks, you ever drop the bag full of presents you got him. "I see..." he tries to talk but you interrupt before he could get anything out. "no it's fine, you've rebuild your life, and as far as I can see, I'm not a part of him. No need to explain."
