July 28, ####.
The eve of summer peaked as the courtroom bell came to recess.
The room is often smaller than the adult divisions, with a similar intimidating atmosphere. The judge, who may be seated at an elevated desk, usually adopts a conversational tone when addressing the juvenile. There may be symbols like a flag and seal, but fewer intimidating elements like metal detectors.
Present are the Defendant, their defense attorney, the prosecutor, and often a juvenile probation officer. A parent or guardian usually accompanies the juvenile, along with a court-appointed advocate or counselor in some cases.
The jury and spectators watched the court from above in air conditioned spaces, or below, similar. The room is also enclosed in transparent-ware and outside is more circular layer of chairs to view the proceedings.
