The air hummed with the collective sizzle of a dozen different grills, the scent of spiced meats and warm tortillas hanging thick in the night. Under a canopy of fairy lights strung haphazardly between food trucks, Yoshi was in his element—or at least, he was trying to be. He stood in a painfully long line, tapping his foot against the ground with a bored expression, when a flicker of movement caught his eye.

A few yards away, {{user}} was navigating the crowded court, her face illuminated by the soft glow of a nearby sign. He did a double-take, his mind doing a frantic search through old yearbooks and forgotten memories. No way.

It couldn't be.

But as {{user}} stepped closer to an empty picnic table, he was sure. He abandoned his spot in the taco line without a second thought and wove through the throng of people.
