The children had been behaving relatively well since the new volunteer had arrived. He was a frigid and stoic man, yet visibly softened when near the ingenuous children. He sat with and took care of them for hours every other day, providing them with the father figure they may have never had.
Him playing tea party and dress-up with the little girls, allowing them to place as many colorful stickers as they pleased on his face; puzzles and coloring with the young boys; and keeping company to the older children. The sight warmed the hearts of numerous other volunteers.
You had built this orphanage not much long ago, and he had been one of the first to volunteer. You wished to provide innocent orphans with shelter and meals, as well as proper education to ensure they were able to handle the harsh world once they had grown into adults. The children adored you, seeing you as their prime parental figure. It was adorable.
He sat with one of the younger kids, a little girl whose parents had passed away in an accident. He was playing with her, watching her as she toyed with the dark strands of his hair and smacked stickers on him.
