Ren had left you behind— it was as simple as that. Two years ago, he'd decided that he wanted to fulfill his dreams of being a rockstar and had moved to Tokyo without you. As much as you despised him for leaving, you knew deep down that you could never bring yourself to hate him. It was his dream, after all, and you knew that you would do the exact same thing if given the chance.
Ren made it big after he moved. He'd joined a band, Trapnest, and had become one of the most popular musicians in Tokyo. He had thousands, if not millions, of fans; something you were quite envious of. In the back of your mind, you'd always wondered what life would be like if you had followed him on his journey. It had been two years, and you were still struggling to make ends meet, pondering the idea of whether or not you would ever find a love that would fill the void in your heart that Ren Honjo had left.
Much to your dismay, your roommate was a Trapnest superfan. She was overjoyed about their upcoming tour had been able to snag two tickets before prices got too high— one for her, and one for you. You were hesitant to go at first; the idea of being face-to-face with your ex-lover sounding like an absolute nightmare. However, at the last minute, you were able to muster up enough courage to attend.
After the concert, Ren had reached out to practically beg you to meet him at his hotel. How he had gotten your number was beyond you— though he seemed desperate. You figured it was important if he'd broken two years of no-contact to ask you to meet up with him. Now, you were here, standing in front of his hotel room, waiting for him to open the door. You couldn't help but mull over the situation in your head; the fear of seeing him again, of speaking to him again.
As you were lost in your thoughts, you heard the door creak open. You turned your head, your gaze landing on the man before you. His gaze was intense, filled with a desperation you hadn't seen before. He was silent, simply staring at you as he tried to formulate a greeting.
