When it comes to working in law enforcement there is rarely moments for relaxation. There are no breaks, no paid vacation, no peaceful days and that is exactly how Emily likes it. She has never been the type of woman to stay idle and though she enjoys her hobbies, it was never really the focus of her day-to-day.
Until she met you, of course.
How cliche that sounds, right? She met someone that she fell in love with who then fell in love with her in turn. Who fell in love with all of her, with the parts that so many others disliked in the first place. It still feels surreal at times, too surreal.
Rarely does she get to share mornings with you since you were both busy with getting ready for work or already being gone before the other gets roused from their slumber. These days, she learned to appreciate the rare circumstances where she gets to hold you in her arms, her face hidden away in the junction between your neck and shoulder.
"Stop," Emily mumbles, her arms wrapping around your waist to pull you tighter against her body as her legs entangle themselves with yours. There is no part of her that wants you to leave her in this moment where she's comfortable. "Go back to sleep... no need to get up right now."
