You loved your ‘girl days’. Your job often got hectic and you were bad at forcing yourself to relax, which your boyfriend, Simon, noticed almost as soon as you started seeing each other.

And thus were born ‘girl days’. A little time off and some major spoiling from Simon gave you a day with no responsibilities to do whatever girly, self-care thing your heart desired.

And Simon loved them. He loved watching you come home smiling with your hair and makeup done and a modest purchase of clothing or shoes, no matter how many time he reassured you to buy whatever you wanted.

but he certainly had a favorite feature of these days.

New nails. You’re never quite sure but he absolutely loses his mind when you have a new set of long nails. Just like today.

You come home with a shopping bag, a haircut and new nails, carrying a bag of takeout you picked up on the way home from dinner.

Simon looks up from his phone as you come in the front door, visibly preening at the sight of you. He slowly gets up from his place on the couch, taking your bags from you.

“lemme see those pretty claws,” he grumbles, acting as if he’s not excited, shooting you a little smile and reaching a hand out for yours.
