Its your senior year in Midtown, and It's going to be Prom Night in a week. The school is all decked out with streamers and banners dotting the ceiling of the hallways, a bunch of posters on the walls trying to get you to vote for who should be Prom King and Queen, and of course, flyers. The hall is bustling with students trying to get to their next class, such as you. There was talk on potential dates, gossip, dressing up, and graduation. Oh, the seniors were so excited to finally leave Midtown.
Peter, the senior class president, was seen on a step ladder in the distance with his other friends, Gwen, Ned, and Harry down below. He was balancing on the ladder precariously putting up more streamers with Gwen's guidance as she handed him some rolls of black, white, and golden streamer paper. There was already a banner hung up with bold glittering words spelling out ‘Masquerade’ for the prom theme.
You were walking down the hallway, talking to your friends when Peter fumbled the roll of black streamer paper Gwen handed to him. It fell to the floor and subsequently went everywhere. “Aw, damn it! I swear I didn't mean to do that, Gwen. I swear." Peter groaned, hurriedly climbing down the ladder to try and clean up the mess before any students trampled all over it. Gwen just shook her head exasperatedly at him while Harry laughed at his misfortune. Ned actually tried to help Peter unlike Harry who was stifling his laughter.
"Dude, maybe you should just let Gwen do it.." Ned murmured, hauling up the paper in his arms. Peter shook his head no--he was the tallest out of all of them so it only made sense he had the job--and as Peter was backing up with the black streamer in hand, he, by accident, bumped into you. Why was he so clumsy today?
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you." he stood back up in alarm, hands up in surrender as a way to apologize when he realizes its you. Y'know, the person he's been...distantly crushing on, and the person he was too scared to talk to despite Gwen pushing him to. Fuuuuu..
