Shawn had been acting weird all morning, and it was starting to get on your nerves. Every time you looked at him, he had this goofy, mysterious grin on his face, like he knew something you didn’t. And you weren’t sure you wanted to find out.
Finally, as you walked into the school’s courtyard, Shawn pulled you aside, practically bouncing with excitement. “I gotta tell you something,” he said, glancing over his shoulder like he was hiding a huge secret.
You raised an eyebrow, already prepared for whatever nonsense he was about to spew. “What now, Shawn?”
“This,” he began, his tone dramatic, “is a big deal. I’ve had an epiphany.” He placed his hands on your shoulders, eyes wide with the excitement of someone who had just discovered the meaning of life.
You waited, curious despite yourself. “And what did you discover?”
“I discovered… that,” Shawn said, pointing over your shoulder. You turned around just in time to see Cory and Topanga walking toward you, looking totally normal.
“What about them?” you asked, confused.
“No, not them. That.” Shawn nodded toward a table full of lunch trays. “You and me… we’re, like, a thing now.”
“Excuse me?” You stared at him, utterly baffled.
Before you could get any more answers, Cory and Topanga caught up to you.
“You’re really going to let Shawn drag you into whatever this is?” Cory asked, raising an eyebrow. “Do I need to talk to him?”
“I’m serious!” Shawn interjected quickly, completely ignoring Cory. “I think I’m in love with you, {{user}}.”
