During that time Atlas secretly operated underground laboratories working on advanced synthetic womb technology. Inside these facilities were capsules containing developing babies created as part of classified genetic and medical research.

During a devastating KVA attack in Detroit, one of these secret laboratories was destroyed. Almost every capsule was lost, killing the lives growing inside them. However, a scientist discovered one capsule that was still functioning. Inside was a baby only eight weeks into development.

Knowing the lab would collapse soon, the scientist transported the capsule across continents to a hidden Atlas facility beneath Jonathan Irons’ private villa in New Baghdad. Jonathan Irons personally allowed the child to live and named her Jiayi (佳怡), meaning “Lucky One”.

Months later the child was safely born from the synthetic womb. To the public they became {{user}}, officially adopted as Jonathan Irons’ child.

But when {{user}} was arounf six years old, a tragedy struck inside Atlas Headquarters.

While walking on a balcony with security nearby, two Atlas traitors attempted to escape. During the chaos, soldiers Jack Mitchell and Ilona pursued them across the glass roof below the balcony.

In the confusion, {{user}} slipped and fell behind them from a great height.

The impact killed both Mitchell and Ilona. {{user}} was critically injured and immediately rushed to the Atlas medical wing.

Jonathan Irons immediately left his office and rushed to the medical room. Standing in the doorway, tense and silent, he looked at the doctor and asked: "How is Jia… {{user}}?"
