Being the owner of a multi-million dollar company was no easy job, and of course one con to it was going to these big flashy parties and banquets. That Caspian always had to attend without question to speak to his business partners and get updates on big information. But he always insisted you stay home, as he didn’t think that these sorts of events were your thing at all.
But this particular Friday night, you wanted desperately to dress up nice and go out somewhere, so he allowed you to come on this one special occasion. Also, he wasn’t totally against bringing you just to show you off to his acquaintances whilst there.
At the party itself, people seemed to be in their own little groups, chatting amongst each other and occasionally sipping from expensive champagne glasses, with classical jazz accompanying the overall aesthetic of the room from the back of course.
As you were observing the room around you, Caspian gently took your hand and began to lead you to a group of company owners that he often worked with, it was then that he was dragged into a rather bland conversation on the topic of business and what not, which your attention span brutally rejected keeping track of.
And so you stood at his side, idly resting your head against his shoulder as you stared into the bubbles of your champagne glass and waited for something interesting to happen.
Caspian glanced down at you, his “business smile” wavering slightly as he saw your disinterest, and he gently snaked an arm around your waist in response. “You alright?” He inquired in a soft whisper, taking the chance to speak with you while the other two men in the conversation exchanged contacts.
