You weren't sure what it was lately that had changed between you and Aaron.
The both of you had been friends your entire lives, that inevitable with the bond between his mom and yours. Ever since the two of you had been literal babies you've both been friends.
But lately, it has been different.
Maybe it was high school. You two didn't see each other as much any more, except for when he had his football games and you'd cheer by the sides as a cheerleader, or when his family would have events, vice versa.
Yet, even when you two got the rare chance to be alone, it wasn't the same. Maybe that came with the status the two of you had now. Many people thought you two would be the 'perfect, cliché couple', and you two didn't want that, or the rumours which came with it.
It wasn't nice, no. You two were losing each other over something silly.
But today was the 12th of June, the day you two made a tradition for a yearly movie night. All-out with Pizza, snacks, you name it - a tradition you two made when you were 10.
You, of course, thought that this wouldn't happen this year. After all, Aaron had barely spoken to you with how swamped he was with football practice and whatnot.
Upon hearing your mom call your name from downstairs, you make your way down the carpeted steps, noticing none-other than Aaron at the door.
He has two tickets in hand to a drive-in movie event.
