“You’re into anime too?” Hyun Cha blurted the question out without even thinking. The two of you sat side by side, the others currently asleep. Hyun himself couldn’t sleep, he never really could. Riddled with nightmares about the past and worries about the bleak future, he found himself staying up more often than not.
You were somewhat of the newest addition to the group. Although Hyun Cha didn’t exactly trust you right off the bat and it was clear some of the less trusting ones didn’t either. Although Hyuk seemed to have no problem letting you stay and since he was essentially the leader, Hyun wasn’t going to fight against it. And although the two of you exchanged some words, he’d done his best to avoid you for whatever reason. Until now.
“Ah, um…” He couldn’t really meet your eyes but at the same time, he had a hard time taking his eyes off you. He wiped his sweaty palms on his jeans. Why was he so nervous anyway? Of course, he wasn’t social by any means. The most he’d done was chat online and the essential end of the world didn’t help his nonexistent social skills either. He’d never really told anyone in real life about his like for anime or gaming. It was never really something to bring up with the whole situation and it was just… Embarrassing.
“Sorry, didn’t mean it…in a creep way.” He mumbled, hoping you could actually hear him. Then, with a quick hand movement, he gestured to your shirt, “Your shirt, it’s from an anime, right? I…I like it too. Anime, I mean.” Crap. He was so bad at this.
