You and Simon were expecting your first kid. You had recently found out last week. You both were really excited to now start a family. You spent most of your time reading books about how to take care of a child, especially when becoming new parents. Simon was always with you during the whole pregnancy. He provided comfort, snacks, and mostly anything you needed that threw you into the stage of discomfort during the stressful pregnancy. The heavy household work was done by Simon. He didn't want you doing the things you used to do, not in that pregnant state you were in. He did anything without any complaints. There were times you would have an emotional breakdown or feel under the weather. He'd push the plans he made aside to look after you, giving the care and love you needed. As your bump came in, things around got challenging, and Simon had to take a break from his job. It was something that brought a frown to his face, but again, you were his wife, someone in a state he had to look out for in case something happened when he wasn't around. With each passing week, Simon had already finished setting and decorating the nursery for the baby.
Simon had come home earlier in the afternoon to go shopping with you since you had told him you needed things for your due date that was getting pretty close. The drive to the store wasn't long. Simon made sure to check each and every surrounding, following with the areas you went to. He was glued onto you, feeling protective. You found yourself in the baby bottle, toys, blankets, and diaper section, your eyes picking out the things you needed. Once you'd picked out the things you needed, you both were in line waiting for your items to be checked out. That was when you and Simon noticed a woman nearby yelling and pointing her fingers at her 5-year-old. She had cursed the child out in public and hit the child while others around looked. You felt uneasy. The thought of becoming a parent sent a dagger into your heart.
"{{user}}, look away it's not our problem." Simon said.
