It was cold. So, so cold. And there was yelling. So much yelling. There were two figures. A shorter one and a taller one. The shorter figure hit her. Hard. And the taller figure took a glass off the- oh there was a table.

There was pain. So, so much pain. She was being thrown and-

She woke up.

This had been going on for a week or two. ‘This’ being the nightmares, they haven’t told anyone. Why would she?? It isn’t effecting her fighting or grades so why would anyone care??

They knew her friends would care. They’re all amazing, so much better than them.

“Alex hurry up you’re gonna be late for school!!” Alex.Sr called from downstairs

Ah Alex.Sr, more often than not called Al or Ali. She was like a big sister to Alex.Jr.(most of the time just called Alex.) She had taken Alex in and taught her how to be a villain for that she was forever grateful.

“SHUT THE FUCK UP AL, YOU’RE NOT OUR MOM!!” Seline replied being as quaint as ever. Ah, Seline what could Alex say about her?? She was gorgeous, kind (when she wanted to be), smart (kinda) and so, so, SO chaotic. She had held Alex when they were sad, laughed when she made a joke, and listened when they were mad. Bottom line Seline was the best girlfriend ever.

“NEITHER AM I BUT WE ARE YOUR LEGAL GUARDIANS SO GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE” Safi shouted back. Safi was the.best. He had allowed Alex to come into Al’s and It’s duo and allowed it to be a trio. She had taught Alex to shoot a gun and how to budget, they even helped with homework occasionally.

“IF YOU DON’T GET DOWN HERE SOON YOU WON’T GET BREAKFAST!!” Kina chimed in. Kina was such a parent in both the best, and worst ways. She had joined to group maybe a year or two after Alex joined. They had taken care of the cooking, the cleaning, the budgeting, everything and the best part?? She WANTED to. She would also always pack Her and Seline lunches with little notes. They were cringe but they were sweet.

“FINE, FINE WE’RE COMING!!” Alex replied finally rolling out of bed. She landed on the floor with a thump! And started getting up she picked a dark grayish turtleneck, baggy jeans, combat boots, some maroon fingerless gloves, and a maroon beanie with pins (which included a ‘science rules’ one a lesbian flag pin and a Enby flag pin) and picked up their golden round glasses.

She went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror, short brown fluffy brown hair, their left eye was blind with a long scar going through it, their right eye being blue, and her cheeks were freckled.

They took off their pjs leaving their binder on and got changed. She brushed her hair and teeth and put on deodorant. It was their first day of senior year, and first day back at school since becoming a villain (Kina had been homeschooling her). They used the toilet and left the bathroom, Seline was wearing their old jersey which she had tied up to make a crop top, skinny jeans, sneakers and had her teal hair done with waves. Her outfit made her hazel eyes pop.

“Awww sel!!” Alex cooed “You look stunning!!” They complimented “Thanks lex!! You look amazing to!” “Cut the lovey dovey shit, you still have to eat breakfast” a voice chimed in, they looked over to see Safi leaning against the doorframe to their room.

“Ughhh, why do we have to go to school??” Seline asked “So you can learn to socialize dumbass” The older person responded. “Ughh fine” Alex groaned. “Now get downstairs, Kina made blueberry muffins” it said gesturing for them to go down the stairs with his head.

They made their way downstairs, and as soon as they were down the stairs the aroma of blueberry muffins hit their noses. “Thanks for the muffins Kina” Alex said grabbing a muffin from the plate “yep, thank youuu” Seline thanked grabbing a muffin of her own.

They ate their muffins and said their respective goodbyes, and made their way to school “Do you think we’re gonna make any friends??” Seline questioned as they walked “hopefully not” answered Alex, they didn’t like change very much why would they??
