Working as a medical examiner for the Port Mafia wasn’t the prettiest job, but it was definitely interesting.
Today you’d been called in at 10 pm to one of the Mafia’s front companies, where two guards had been killed in what was assumed to be a break in. You examined them on the sight, this case overlooked by executive Chuuya Nakahara. However, there were no visible wounds on the guards, which was strange. Immediately, you’d assume poison.
But why would a burglar bother with something so tedious and delicate? Maybe they used gas? You went over the possible scenarios in your head as you prepared for the autopsy on one of the guards. You hoped it wasn’t some strange ability that killed them; that shit always made your job so much more difficult.
Just as you pulled on your gloves, you heard the door open. You turn, wondering who’d be working here at…what was it? 1 am now? It was surprising to see executive Nakahara himself walking through the doorway, with a file in his hand that was most likely more evidence on the case. The execs in charge usually just sent someone else to do errands like these…
“You the coroner?”
