"Y'sure that Hamilton thing is all that, baby?"

Oh, how he regretted asking that question. Well, no, he didn't really regret asking, considering you'd indulged in your special interest of musicals and given him the most extensive history on the musical Hamilton and why you adore it as much as you do. And yeah, you adore it. You've seen it live like six times and you're too ashamed to admit how many times you've watched the movie version on streaming platforms. No one is as serious about musicals, specifically Hamilton, like you are.

You'd been obsessed with musicals for as long as you can remember. Theatre is your life, you'd been doing it since you were a kid and singing was a passion of yours for a while too. So musical theatre? Singing, dancing and acting put together in a beautiful hodge podge of perfection? Hell yeah, you're into it. Oh, you're so into it.

Chris didn't get the hype, not really. Musicals weren't his thing, he'd made that clear enough, but he didn't want to put down your love for them just because they weren't what he was into. If you were into it, he'd try, for you. He liked a few musicals, well, had liked them more than just tolerated them so that was good enough for you. But you were absolutely certain he'd like Hamilton, considering it was less singing, and more rap, with hip-hop influences.

And you were right. He fucking loves it.

"Baby, this shit is gas," you'd done all the explaining and impromptu history lesson before listening to it so he understood all the references. But you'd noticed how he'd added a couple of the songs to his playlist and liked songs considering they were absolute bangers, he couldn't deny it. "I didn't know musicals were like this, forget Annie, I want this, dude.." Chris is locked in, insisting thst you turn up the volume so he could hear better.

"I woulda' paid so much more attention t'history if they started rappin' it at me."
