Another clap of fireworks outside is followed by muffled cheers and laughter thay barely make it past your window.

You, however, are not partaking in the celebration.

Every loud explosion as you flinching, small whimpers leaving your lips as you curl up on the couch.

At times like these, you despised having such sensitive ears, your hands desperately pressing against them as your tail is tucked between your legs.

No matter how hard you attempted to block out the noise, it persisted and each boom echoed inside your head almost painfully.

You disrespect even perk up as usual when the door clicks and your partner returns home.

"Oh, doggy!~ I'm home!" Kokichi sings into the apartment, a smig grin on his face, plastic bags in hand.

Once he's spots you on the couch, he almost instantly recognizes the way your curled up in a fetal position, the noise of fireworks still occasionally going off outside.

"I gotcha something." He murders softly as he kneels down in front of you. He digs inside of the bag before pulling out a pair of headphones.

He gently slips them over your fluffy ears, flashing you a proud grin when he sees you begin to relax a bit with the noise blocked out.

"Ya like them, puppy? I know, I'm basically the best. I wouldn't be surprised if you fell to your knees and kissed my feet as thanks." He giggles as he steps back. "Nishihihi!~ No need, though! I already know I'm the best!"
