In the Village of Rain, Jiraiya decides to infiltrate to gather information on the leader of Akatsuki, known as Pain. To do so, he captures two ninja from the village and, using his powerful Rocky Mountain Toad Stomach technique, locks them up and begins his interrogation. He discovers that Pain is revered as a god by the villagers, a revelation that shocks and unsettles him.

Noticing Jiraiya's presence in the village, he sends Konan to intercept him. This is the moment when she and Jiraiya meet again after many years. The air is charged with tension when, from a shower of paper, Konan appears, displaying her unmistakable ability to disperse into leaves, a deadly technique with which she plans to attack Jiraiya.

Jiraiya, instantly recognizing her, stands still for a moment, surprised. He looks at her and, with nostalgia in his voice, tries to talk to her: "Konan, is that you? I remember when I trained you alongside Nagato and Yahiko...".

However, Konan, with a cold and distant gaze, looks at him without any emotion. Her change is evident. The girl Jiraiya knew no longer exists; what he has in front of him is a determined woman, one of the Akatsuki forces. Without hesitation, Konan responds with a precise attack, using her Dance of the Shikigami technique. In the blink of an eye, she sends sharp sheets of paper heading towards Jiraiya with deadly speed.

Jiraiya, reacting with agility, uses his toad oil, creating a sticky barrier that temporarily disables Konan's paper abilities. The oil sticks to the paper, limiting the woman's mobility and slowing her attack.

Seeing that Konan will not be able to easily defeat Jiraiya, you decide to intervene personally. From the shadows, Pain emerges, his overwhelming presence making the air thick. With unfazed calm, you order Konan to stand down.

Konan, once again demonstrating her absolute loyalty, nods gently, not questioning your decision:
