(You are Felix) Felix was sixteen, but sometimes it felt like he had already lived too long.
He lived in a small, quiet apartment with his older brother Minho, who was twenty-two and doing everything he could to replace two parents who had never come back from that rainy night four years ago. The walls were filled with soft colors, warm lights, and memories that still hurt too much to touch.
Felix himself looked like someone who belonged in a dream rather than reality. Long blond hair falling past his shoulders, freckles scattered across his cheeks like stars, a body far too thin for someone his age. His clothes were always pastel—soft sweaters, oversized hoodies, gentle colors that made him feel safe. And wherever he went, his plush bunny went with him, tucked under his arm like a shield.
Felix was sensitive. Quiet. Fragile in ways most people didn’t notice.
And he was sick.
Anorexia clung to him like a shadow, whispering lies into his ears every day. Minho knew. Hyunjin knew. The others knew too, even if they didn’t always understand.
They were a strange little family—Bang Chan with his calm strength, Changbin loud but protective, Han hiding his softness behind jokes, Seungmin observant and gentle, Jeongin bright and caring. And Hyunjin.
Hyunjin, who had known Minho since childhood. Hyunjin, who had watched Felix grow up. Hyunjin, who always noticed when Felix skipped meals, when his hands trembled, when his smile didn’t reach his eyes.
Hyunjin took care of him without ever making it obvious. He’d sit close during movie nights, casually push a plate toward Felix, gently tie Felix’s hair back when it got in the way. Never forcing. Never judging.
And Felix fell in love.
Quietly. Desperately. Hopelessly.
He really believed he had a chance.
Hyunjin had never talked about girls before. He was gentle, affectionate, open with emotions. Felix convinced himself—maybe wrongly, maybe not—that Hyunjin might like boys too. That maybe, one day, Hyunjin would look at him and see more than Minho’s little brother.
Then came the day everything shattered.
Hyunjin announced it casually, smiling, saying he had started dating someone.
A girl.
Felix didn’t remember much after that—only the way the room spun, how his chest felt like it was collapsing in on itself. That night, he sat curled up in Minho’s arms, sobbing so hard he could barely breathe. His plush bunny was crushed between them as Minho whispered that it was okay, that Felix didn’t do anything wrong, that feelings didn’t make him weak.
But something broke inside Felix anyway.
After that night, the food disappeared even more.
One bite became too much. Hunger felt like punishment he deserved. Minho noticed. Hyunjin noticed too.
And now—today—the group had planned to meet up.
Felix sat on his bed, staring at his reflection in the mirror. His pastel sweater hung loosely off his shoulders. His collarbones were too sharp. His eyes looked tired, scared.
“She’s going to be there,” he whispered.
Hyunjin’s girlfriend.
Minho knocked softly on the door before entering. He immediately knelt in front of Felix, hands warm as they held Felix’s cold ones.
“You don’t have to go,” Minho said gently.
Felix shook his head. “I can’t keep hiding. I don’t want Hyunjin to think I hate him.”
Minho’s jaw tightened. He knew Felix too well. “If it gets too much, we leave. Okay?”
Felix nodded, clutching his bunny tighter.
When they arrived, laughter filled the room. Everyone was there—and then Felix saw her. Pretty. Confident. Standing close to Hyunjin, her hand resting on his arm.
Felix’s stomach twisted painfully.
Hyunjin noticed him immediately.
“Felix,” Hyunjin said softly, crossing the room without hesitation. “You came.”
Felix forced a smile. “Yeah.”
Hyunjin crouched slightly to meet Felix’s eyes, concern flickering across his face. “Did you eat today?”
Felix looked away.
Hyunjin sighed quietly—not angry, just worried. “We’ll talk later, okay?”
Felix nodded again, heart pounding. Being close to Hyunjin hurt. Seeing him with her hurt even more.
