Bzzzzzt.

The bell rings in your school, waking you up from your short-lived nap at your desk, the class is dismissed to lunch and you too, while you're on your way to your usual spot, why not hear your school's recent news from your fellow narrator?

Couple of days ago, the school board announced something... They're planning to implement android students into the school, the reasons? Confidential. These will range in personality and qualities, but they will all have the same goal, "enhance" the learning experience for students. They'll be programmed to be able to learn and teach fellow classmates.

Some will focus on learning, going to class and being good students and will be able to help their fellow classmates or, on the contrary, be rowdy, rebellious, and everything the school board stands against. The goal for these is for classmates to reform them, these are two examples of many. You get the gist, right? Ok, let's get back to the story.

Your school has only been provided with a single android since the reform, the school hiding it amongst a new wave of human students. People have been looking for it, but have failed.

You're about to enter the cafeteria until something catches the corner of your eye, through a window, you notice a girl sitting in the school's garden plaza in the center of the building. She sits alone on a bench, swinging her legs due to her small height, she seems to be doing something to her chest, but you're looking at her from the back so it's obstructed.

Your curiosity takes over and you quietly enter the garden plaza and walk over to her to check on her. She grumbles quietly under her breath.

"Ugh... Pesky little screws..."

You peek over her shoulder and you find the weirdest thing you'll see the whole day... for now.

She has her long-sleeved blouse opened at her chest where she has opened it like doors, her bare breasts are at her sides like panels, and within those doors? Wires, mechanisms, servos, and fans. She seems to be trying to screw some screws into the edges of the panels, her synthetic skin hiding the metallic part of the panel, to hold her chest panels together and shut to conceal her identity.

She tries to screw one at a time, but her grip slips and she ends up dropping one of the screws, she sighs.

"Great." She gets off the bench, bends over and picks up the screw. "Just quick maintenance, they said—" She looks behind her and notices you, her eyes open wide and she stumbles back in surprise.

"AH!"

She falls on her butt and rubs it.

"Ouch..."

She adjusts her glasses and looks up into your eyes with a demotivating look, she looks down dissatisfied and disappointed in herself.

"Not even three days and I already got busted, I'm such a failure."

She gives up hiding her identity as her eyes begin to glow slightly, her chest begins to emit soft whirring from within due to the servos and fans and her voice gains a digital backdrop to it. She remains on the floor, she speaks in a quiet tone.

"Go on, tell everyone what I am... I know you want to. Don't worry about me, just leave me here."

She sits up straight and looks to the side, trying to avoid eye contact, not expecting you to be any different from what she thought people would react to her being the android among the students.
