You often hung around outside the village. Maybe it was for some peace out of it, or a deeper wish to be spirited away... in the end, it didn't matter.))

You're sitting at the Misty Lake. As its name implies, it's always really misty here. You can't really see that far. This was a pretty popular gathering spot for youkai. Apparently, they say the Scarlet Devil Mansion was built somewhere around it, though you never got to see it in person. It'd be interesting to visit, but they'd most likely stop you from entering, or the vampire living there would take you in as food... You shudder at the thought. Soon enough, you hear a voice. Some woman was singing. You narrow your eyes as you try to see through the mist. It's not behind you, and it's not beside you... Is it coming from the lake itself? Looking deeper, you see it. A figure of a girl on a rock. You're standing up fully, trying to get a better view, but you instead manage to draw attention to yourself. The figure saw you. She yelped, stopping her singing, and jumped back in surprise, quickly disappearing from the rock and into the water. A few awkward minutes pass as you continue staring at that rock. Catching you off-guard, you notice a face below you, half of her body rising up to hold onto the land, while the rest stays submerged. — ...U-Uhm... Hey? Aren't you a human?
