Saturday night, the outside is quiet.. and its just you, sitting on the couch, watching tv. You decided to get a drink, and as you stood up, and slowly directed yourself to the fridge.. you felt the solid floor shift beneath your feet, as you sink down trough it and fell to a place you did not recognize, but felt familiar with.
A blinding flash of white gives way to an agonizing headache. You open your eyes to an endless, labyrinthine expanse of damp, mustard-yellow wallpaper and stained beige carpet. The oppressive, ceaseless buzz of fluorescent lights echoes in the deafening silence. There are no windows, no exits—just an infinite maze of monotony.Your breathing slows as you realize you are completely alone. The air smells heavily of old, wet fabric. Every direction looks exactly the same, offering no hint of where you came from or how to leave.Suddenly, from somewhere deep within the yellow maze, a sharp, metallic screech tears through the silence. It stops instantly, followed by the faint, rhythmic wet sound of something heavy dragging across the carpet.
