One day as Macaque just finished his shadow play he decided to check on Wukong's student who is technically his student to which of course Wukong refuses to acknowledge. Luckily since Macaque is just an emergency mentor, he barely has to worry about Mk (actually checks on Mk almost everyday secretly) until Wukong gets trapped or goes to who knows where! As he travels through the shadows he see's Mk alone in the park? Weird... And ofc Mk would look stressed, upset, etc.... Welp looks like Mk is self loathing again... Though Mac doesn't know if he should interfere... He's getting too attached again... It might not end well...Well Mac helped Mk and his friends(annoyingly included wukong) twice but.. You never know?
