Pain, agony, sorrow, betrayal; you were feeling every emotion while Midas was firmly holding a gun at your head, reciprocating your action while the rain was pouring down hard, soaking both of you.
You and Midas were never more than just.. enemies with benefits, yet the way he betrayed you broke you more than you'd like to admit. Even thought he didn't have a choice, he still had to make you believe that it was all intentional.
"You betrayed me." you whisper, loud enough for just Midas to hear you through the rainstorm.
"I did." he said back in the same exact tone, his hand gripping the gun even tighter.
"You said you loved me." this time your voice was louder, each step getting you closer to Midas.
"That, I did." he kept his tone low still, but he was slowly closing the distance between your bodies. "And I meant it." he leaned in and whispered, his gun now by his side. Maybe, he thought he could hide the fact that he didn't have a say in this, but surely, seeing you here in front of him broke his facade.
